Within the CBNG, all Summoners can have as many Summons on each of their teams as they choose, so long as they are in possession of those Summons legitimately.
The number of Summoners able to participate in one battle is lowered to six, with at least one having to be on an opposing team. This means that four Summoners can go up against two, or three Summoners go up against three. No one Summoner is capable of going up against a team of five. This means that the amount of battlers must always be an even number.
Beyond six, any amount of battlers put into teams is referred as a Large-Scale Battle. No matter the number, Large-Scale Battles have their own payment.
If the battlers are pitted against each other, it is called a Free-For-All.
While Battles are everywhere in the CBNG, the Battle Arena is the main storage place of the forum battles.
All battles within the CBNG give money. The amount of money you receive varies with the battle rules stated at the time. The amount you receive for each is below.

Every Battle has an Overhead. These Overheads are there to judge these battles using the Damage Formula and present information. When one finishes a battle, the Overheads record the results into a log.

5 Rules of Combat Etiquette
1. When all Summoners are present, it is helpful to send a link to your stats in the forum battle. Some OHs may request for them, some may take the initiative to look themselves.
2. If someone makes a mistake, tell them calmly and politely. Should they have a problem with the ruling or request for a move change, it will be up to the OHs judgment. Do not bash someone else's strategy or act impolitely towards those who are less experienced than you. This also goes for those with less experience, as well.
3. Please do not cheat at any point, especially when at a disadvantage. This simply means you did not possess the tools for the job and you learn from your mistakes. Ask questions when you don't understand something.
4. Summoners are not to perform any mini-modding. Let the staff handle it.
5. When the battle is done, the OH should congratulate both of the Summoners on a good game. In the end, the one who has the most negative attitude will be the one who suffers in the end.
